In fall 2024, Kiki Liu, Jingyi(Oliver) Teng, and Zhiheng(Leo) Gong founded Current State Studio.
Current State Studio is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting a diverse range of artistic practices across all media. Its mission is to foster creative growth and community engagement through exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and studio visits. By providing platforms for artists to present their work and connect with peers and audiences, Current State Studio promotes both social connection and professional development within an inclusive and dynamic environment.

Through exhibitions, artist showcases, talks, panel discussions, critiques, workshops, conferences, and residencies and more, the Company aims to create a dynamic platform where artists can present their work, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights from peers and professionals. Additionally, the Company strives to offer resources—such as studio space, funding opportunities, and mentorship programs—to support artists in developing sustainable careers. Beyond serving the artistic community, the Company is committed to art education and cultural enrichment for the general public for the local communities. By hosting community outreach programs, artist talks, and interactive experiences like workshops, open studios and exhibitions, the Company seeks to bridge the gap between artists and audiences, fostering a deeper appreciation for creative practices.
